We are delighted to announce that the familiar favourite traditional Christmas Market is back and better than ever, with an expanded range of stalls offering handcrafted presents, artisan food, and one-of-a-kind items, making it the perfect place to pick up gifts for your loved ones. The stage is also back this year, with live music to set the festive mood, along with the bar serving mulled wine, cider, and hot chocolate – perfect for warming up after a day of festive fun.
Our bespoke Christmas lighting will make a comeback, including a brand-new, giant light-up KINGSTON sign – a must-see for photo opportunities. Other beloved ground installations will return, including the two iconic Christmas trees, the whimsical walk-through present, and the majestic giant reindeer.
This year, there will be a brand new addition of a Nutcracker Trail, with 15 life-sized Nutcracker statues hidden around town. This trail will be perfect for families looking for something free and fun to do over the Christmas holidays – plus, the first 300 people to complete the trail will receive an exclusive wooden tree decoration, and at the end of the trail, one lucky participant will be selected to win a hamper filled with treats from local businesses. Kids will also love the interactive arts and crafts stall, perfect for showing off their artistic side during the festive season!
On top of all this, the outstanding retail and hospitality offer makes Kingston the perfect place to enjoy a magical experience this Christmas, with close to 300 shops and a fantastic selection of pubs, bars and restaurants to choose from, alongside entertainment venues such as two cinemas, a theatre and escape rooms.
Kingston First is thrilled to announce a special collaboration with Kingston Charitable Foundation this festive season. From 16 November – 23 December, each Friday to Sunday, different charities organised by the Foundation will host a pop-up stall in the Makers Market at Memorial Square. This unique initiative offers a wonderful chance for visitors to support a variety of meaningful causes while enjoying the festive atmosphere. We invite everyone to drop by, meet the dedicated charity teams, and contribute to the spirit of giving this Christmas.
Whether you’re sipping mulled wine, exploring the market, or embarking on the Nutcracker Trail, Christmas in Kingston 2024 promises to be a magical experience for the whole family.
