Businesses across Kingston upon Thames are providing food delivery services, virtual experiences and online tutorials to support Londoners during the Covid-19 pandemic.
To highlight this important effort, we put together a press release showcasing some of the many stories of resilience in the town centre. Thanks to the Surrey Comet for picking this up and publishing a feature.
Kingston Library has launched virtual storytelling and read-alongs, available on their Facebook page, Banquet Records have switched to online-only orders, and local restaurants have been playing their part too. Haché Burgers are supporting NHS and emergency workers, Riverside Vegetaria are looking out for vulnerable people by supplying free homemade soup, Kingston Market traders continue to provide fresh fruit and vegetables, plus many more stories.
